Armstrong Bros. Plumbing was started by brothers Charles, Dave and Les, in 1911 after they moved to Manatee from Minnesota. Dave was the first public Works Commissioner for Bradenton and Les, who was also a real estate agent, became the first Republican County Commissioner elected since the Civil War. Charles then took sole ownership. Charles’ son Chester bought the company from his father in 1936 and eventually expanded the business to include LP gas, oil and heating supplies. Later Chester’s son Bill took over the business in 1970. Since then, Armstrong Bros Plumbing has evolved into an industry leader for pipe lining, hydro jetting, and all plumbing services across Desoto, Manatee and Sarasota Counties.
